Organization and Governance
The primary charge of this sub-team is to integrate the findings of the Facilities and Campus Services sub-teams to define, develop, and ultimately deliver, a scalable campus-wide data center services offering, including a multi-year operational plan for realizing the cost savings associated with increasing campus adoption of the centralized service.
- Benchmarking with peer institutions; governance structures, best practices and lessons learned, staffing models, physical data center models, third-part provider options, etc.
- Alignment with Enterprise IT Decision Making (EITDM) team outcomes
- Identifying workflow for onboarding pilot projects
- Developing financial and business models, which will lead to a recommendation for an ongoing operational model
